After almost a year, I think the condition of the tote is excellent. As you can see in the photograph, my camera is obese. From the start I made peace with the expectation that there could be some leather warping, but there’s absolutely none! And the opening shows very little wear as well, despite continuous reaching in and from this bag.Below is a detail shot of some grime build-up. It only occurs where there is a good deal of hardware motion; I think that the polish on the hardware rubs off onto the leather, which brings dirt. The Prada care card says that Saffiano leather is “calfskin which has been tanned using natural procedures, treated to ensure it is hard wearing and printed to generate a distinctive semi-lustrous effect… Clean with a soft, dry cloth” Hooray! This bag satisfies all the criteria that I originally picked it for, and no problems have come up in the year I have been using it. I believed my Chanel WOC are my closing bag for quite a while, but after a while I couldn’t ignore the reality that there were items left to be desired. I can confidently state this Prada bag has finally filled the tiny emptiness within my heart, and I wander the handbag stalls looking for love. I have found The One For Me and my heart is content. (It slams its doors, however.) If you are a designer handbag aficionado, this handbag requires little introduction. The Prade Saffiano tote is one of the staples of classic handbag style. Something which joins the course of LV Speedy or Chanel 2.55. It really is one of those classics which sort of surprises me as to why I haven’t completed a review of this beauty yet. So today, I am rectifying just that.
